Why Charter vs. Rent a Boat Yourself?

It’s Easy

We make going to the lake super easy. You bring your stuff, and we pick you up, drive, and drop you off after your time on the water. Hassle-free. It couldn’t be easier!

Value

Owning a boat is very expensive. We’ll give you a stress free experience, without the overhead of owning a boat or having to rent a boat and pay for fuel/insurance yourself.

Liability

We’ll navigate the water, so you don’t have to worry about being responsible for a boat and your passengers.

Premium Experience

Enjoy the day on a luxury boat with your own private crew. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the day!

Our luxury 24′ Trifecta Pontoon is equipped with a 200hp Yamaha and is built for FUN!  It includes premium seating, upgraded sound, a rear-facing lounger, double biminis, and vistas to make everyone smile. Yes, adults too

What We Do

We make going to the lake easy…

Not everyone has a boat, access to one, or knows how to operate a boat safely on the lake.  That’s where we come in…  We provide a Five Star experience, not just a service!

If you know where you want to go, let’s go there.  If you don’t know Grand Lake, we do!  Let us show you around…  Our goal is to provide you and your group with a stress-free lake experience on Grand Lake.

Sit back and relax. You have an experienced crew at the helm.

Grand Lake Cruises – Boat Passenger Waivers

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? Let’s get you some answers…

Why charter vs. rent a boat myself?

Our goal is to alleviate the stress of a boat renter responsible for driving and keeping your passengers safe on the lake. Many required tasks like navigation, parking, and anchoring can be very challenging when the lake is busy or the wind picks up. A boat of this size requires an experienced driver. You may save a little money by renting yourself, but you’re responsible if things go wrong. With us, you have an experienced captain at your disposal.  Sit back, relax, and enjoy the views!

Are you licensed and insured?
Grand Lake Cruises is fully insured and licensed by GRDA as a commercial operator.
How do I book a charter?

Please call us at 405.550.3350 or email us at grandlakecruises@gmail.com to book your cruise.  We’ll respond quickly to determine embarkation point and itinerary. When booking, please let us know if we can do anything special or if you have certain things you wish to see on the trip.

How many people are allowed?

For your comfort, we suggest cruises of no larger than 8 people.

Are there any “hidden” fees?

The price quoted for the cruise includes the boat, fuel, and the crew. Whereas many charters require customers to pay an additional cost for fuel ($5-6/gallon on the lake), our cruise prices include the price of fuel.

Where do we meet and get picked-up?

Grand Lake Cruises is located in Grove OK on beautiful Grand Lake. We typically meet at:

  • Wolf Creek Boat Ramp
  • Honey Creek Marina
  • Private docks on Grand Lake
  • Other locations may be scheduled if approved by the captain
What about life jackets?

We’ll have 8 adult life jackets on board. If you have small children or infants, you’ll need to bring adequate flotation devices for them. Feel free to bring your own jackets, flotation devices, water cushions, noodles, etc.

What do I need to bring?

Bring everything you’d need for a day at the lake. Towels, sunscreen, food/snacks, drinks, etc. Don’t forget to bring plenty of water!  If you don’t want to drag around a big cooler, that’s fine.  We’ll have a Yeti 82-can cooler with ice on board. Please bring your own cooler for food.

Speaking of food, we DO NOT ALLOW:
  • Messy/color-ridden snacks like Doritos, Cheetos and flaming chips.
  • Highly-dyed drinks (especially purple or red).
  • Sticky candy or sticky fruit snacks.
What if we want to cater the cruise?

The Regatta, 918.801.4420, has you covered. They have a full menu including soft drinks, beer, wine, and liquor, and also serve up made-to-order pizzas. Just contact them in advance and they’ll have it ready for you.

Can I bring alcohol?

Yes, you can bring your favorite adult beverage.  However, GRDA does not allow glass on the lake. Absolutely no red wine on the boat. Drinking in moderation can be a lot of fun.  Drinking to excess is not allowed and will lead to an early end of the cruise.

We suggest no more than 2 adult beverages per hour, eating some food and drinking some water while on the cruise.

Can we go skiing or tubing?

We have several serene or active places on Grand Lake to go swimming. Unfortunately our insurance will not allow skiing, tubing or water sports on the cruise

Are pets allowed?

We know that most pets are an important part of the family.  However, we cannot have them on the cruise. If you have questions related to this policy, feel free to contact us directly.

What's not allowed on the boat?

Pets: Sorry, not 4 legged family members.

Smoking: No smoking is allowed on the boat.  If you want to smoke, you can smoke in the water, not on the boat.

Drugs: We say nope to the dope. The trip ends there.

Disobeying the Captain: We’re all here to have a good time so let’s disembark with good attitudes and no drama. All cruise passengers are required to follow all Captain’s orders. Failure to obey the captain…the trip ends.

What is the cancellation policy?

Hopefully, the cruise proceeds as planned. However, life and weather happen which might require rescheduling. In the case the Captain refuses a trip due to weather and a reschedule isn’t possible, a full refund will be issued.
